PRIDE FEST 鈥25 begins July 25鈥擩oin the 糖心vlog官方入口 community at the PEI Pride Parade, July 26

While Pride Month is celebrated in June in many areas of Canada, Pride is recognized on PEI and at 糖心vlog官方入口 in July as part of the national summer-long 鈥淧ride season.鈥 

Dr. Elizabeth Epperly, LLD and Professor Emerita, named to the Order of Canada

Dr. Elizabeth Rollins Epperly鈥攁lumna, Professor Emerita, and the first woman to serve as president at the 糖心vlog官方入口鈥攈as been named to the Order of Canada by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada.

Among 83 appointments to the Order announced on the eve of Canada Day, Dr. Epperly was made a Member for her contributions to elevating the works of internationally renowned Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery, most well known for her novel Anne of Green Gables, in Canada and around the globe. 

糖心vlog官方入口 celebrates the achievements of faculty and staff

Members of the 糖心vlog官方入口 community filled the 糖心vlog官方入口 Performing Arts Centre amphitheatre on May 29, 2025, to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues. During the event, the University Awards of Excellence and 25-Year Service Awards were presented to faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff members.

糖心vlog官方入口 Board of Governors approves balanced student-centric budget

On May 27, 2025, the 糖心vlog官方入口 Board of Governors approved a balanced for the 2025鈥2026 fiscal year, despite a challenging financial environment primarily caused by federal immigration policy changes. The operating budget is just under $202.9 million, representing an increase of $20.4 million or 11.2 per cent over the previous fiscal year.

糖心vlog官方入口 offered Mr. Christopher Griffin the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion to be developed thoughtfully and including other voices on the topic of free expression. 

On April 15, upon learning of a planned meeting on April 16, Mr. Griffin requested to be heard at that meeting. In response, the University accepted that request and scheduled a time for his presentation in the Performing Arts Centre Amphitheatre, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on April 16.
