December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 seeks to increase awareness of the experience of persons with disabilities in all areas of society, including at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú. Individuals within the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú campus community are affected by various disabilities, which can be visible or invisible. They are experienced differently by each person and can intersect with other forms of identity. ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú is committed to making a difference to all who are historically underrepresented and underserved, and aims to recognize, include, and support them.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú to recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) will host a candlelight vigil on Friday, December 6, at 10:00 am, at the Academic Staircase in the FDSE building in recognition of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú and Holland College host third joint interprofessional simulation
An interprofessional simulation involving ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú nursing students and Holland College paramedicine students took place on November 18, 2024, at the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Faculty of Nursing in the Health Sciences Building.

Happy December! A lot has been happening at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú—too much to recount in just one message. I hope that you are easing into the winter break and the many festivals of lights that will brighten the winter, and everyone has a chance to reflect on the many achievements and experiences we have had over the fall term.

Music of Tomorrow is a lecture recital presented by Jacob Reddin, trombone, in collaboration with Frances McBurnie, piano, to showcase their directed studies research project at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú's Faculty of Arts' Department of Music. Come and hear the stories, experiences, and music of young composers who are actively pursuing and maintaining careers in the world of contemporary classical composition.

101 ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú student-athletes achieve U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian status
The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú congratulates the 101 student-athletes who earned U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian (AAC) status for the 2023–2024 season. This number represents 52 per cent of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú’s 194 varsity student-athletes.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Bachelor of Science in Nursing students Amelia Jenkins, Abby Kinch, Teasha McPhee, and Niloufar Sedighpoor recently completed a survey of students living in residence as part of their fall semester 2024 Population Health course. They discovered a high percentage of surveyed students are not sleeping well for a variety of reasons, and they're using the survey findings to create sleep-related wellness resources for all ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú students.
