糖心vlog官方入口 professor emeritus wins SSHRC Exchange Publication Award

Dr. Edward MacDonald, professor emeritus of history, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his book The Geography of Home: Poems from a Lost Time.

The SSHRC Exchange Publication Award is given out annually to support the publication of a manuscript written or edited by 糖心vlog官方入口 faculty in the social sciences and humanities. The book will be published by Island Studies Press in the fall of 2025.

Dr. Peter Koritansky, professor of religious studies and philosophy, will ask the provocative question, 鈥淒oes Morality Depend on God?鈥 Participants can expect an engaging talk, excellent discussion, and much fellowship and fun.

糖心vlog官方入口 Athletics and Recreation receives 2023 Canada Games legacy funding for lighting project

The 糖心vlog官方入口 Department of Athletics and Recreation is thrilled to announce that the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund has awarded funds to install lighting to enhance the sport and community experience at 糖心vlog官方入口 Alumni Canada Games Place.

The project is a collaboration between the Government of Prince Edward Island, the City of Charlottetown, Holland College, and the University.

Lauren Rainford and Kyree Thompson named 糖心vlog官方入口 Panther Athletes of the Week

Every week, 糖心vlog官方入口 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 糖心vlog官方入口 Panther Athletes of the Week for January 20鈥26, 2025, are Lauren Rainford (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kyree Thompson (men鈥檚 basketball).

Rainford, a fifth-year arts student from Toronto, Ontario, played very strong games on January 24 and 25 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She averaged a team-high 25.0 points along with 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in a weekend split with the Acadia University Axewomen.
