糖心vlog官方入口 Health and Wellness Centre receives LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant

The 糖心vlog官方入口 Health and Wellness Centre has received a grant from the provincial government鈥檚 2024鈥2025 LIVE WELL PEI Wellness Grant Program to educate 糖心vlog官方入口 students about reducing harms related to alcohol through awareness campaigns and education modules.

The provincial government announced on February 4 that it is providing $136,000 in grants to support 30 innovative projects that promote healthier communities and help prevent chronic diseases through community and school-based initiatives. 

Preparing a winning teaching award dossier

A dossier to support a teaching award nomination is different from one you develop to apply for an academic position or for tenure and promotion. Right now, there are multiple calls for nomination open for teaching and educational leadership awards at 糖心vlog官方入口. If you have been nominated by colleagues or students or are considering self-nomination, come and learn about what it takes. Bring your interest and questions about preparing a teaching award dossier to the Teaching and Learning Centre RL 230. If you have an existing teaching philosophy statement, bring it along too. 

Community 鈥渜uilt鈥 for gender-based violence prevention on display

As part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence in November 2024, the 糖心vlog官方入口 Student Union Mental Health team and the 糖心vlog官方入口 Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) invited students, staff, and faculty to create a community 鈥渜uilt鈥 for gender-based violence prevention. Each participant created a canvas square for the quilt. Thank you to all who contributed to this important art piece!

Pan-African flag flies over 糖心vlog官方入口 during Black History Month

The Pan-African flag was raised at 糖心vlog官方入口 on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at 糖心vlog官方入口; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the .

Members of the 糖心vlog官方入口 and broader communities, including Dr. Wendy Rodgers, president and vice-chancellor of 糖心vlog官方入口, attended the flag-raising. The flag will fly on the campus for the duration of Black History Month.
