Kevin MacLean in Concert
On Friday, November 15 at 7:30 pm, saxophonist Kevin MacLean will perform as part of the 糖心vlog官方入口 Concert Series. 鈥淲orldly Inspirations鈥 will feature music from England, Japan, the United States, and Prince Edward Island. MacLean will collaborate with Frances McBurnie, Karem Simon, Branden Kelly, and perform a world premiere by composer Dr. Rick Covey.
MacLean has most recently been concerto soloist with the 糖心vlog官方入口 Wind Symphony and the PEI Symphony. Past performances include the World Association of Bands and Ensembles Conference, North American Saxophone Alliance Conference, and the National Music Festival. He is currently the saxophone instructor at 糖心vlog官方入口.

United Way Campaign Kick-off
糖心vlog官方入口 is proud to be a part of the 2013 United Way campaign. Join the campus community for the campaign kick-off event on Thursday, November 14 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm in McMillan Hall for food, prizes, a tug-of-war challenge (Student Union executive versus senior administration), live music, and information from United Way PEI.
This year United Way PEI was able to fund 23 programs that assist individuals across the island due to the generous support of Islanders. Your contributions will make a difference in many island communities.

RETI Annual Meetings
The Master of Arts in Island Studies program is pleased to announce that it will host the Reseau d鈥檈xcellence des territoires insulaires (RETI) annual meetings, a consortium of 24 island universities. The theme of the event this year will be Livable Islands: Culture, Politics, Economy and Environment. It will consist of four components:
July 4鈥5: A Symposium/Conference
Learn about the most recent island-based research from presentations by international faculty and graduate students.
July 5: Meeting of the Governing Committee of RETI
A meeting of University Presidents/Rectors from the 24 member universities around the world.
July 6: A Field Trip
A guided tour of Prince Edward Island. Explore the physical and cultural geography of this beautiful island.
July 7鈥9: Summer School
Internationally-recognized scholars in island studies will provide in-depth instruction to graduate students on the most pressing island-based issues.

Night of David Ives One Act Plays!鈥 This show will feature three comedic
one act plays written by *David Ives*, organized by a number of talented
糖心vlog官方入口 students.
This production enjoys a three show run on* November 14th, 15th,
and 16th *in the Faculty Lounge in Main Building at the 糖心vlog官方入口
Campus. The *doors open at 7pm with a 7:30 showtime. Admission is only
available at the door, costing *five dollars per person.

Jazz Ensemble Concert
The 糖心vlog官方入口 Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of David Shephard, will present its end of semester concert on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, 糖心vlog官方入口.
The program will feature arrangements of 鈥淪t Louis Blues,鈥 鈥淟ittle Sunflower,鈥 and 鈥淢ambo Hot.鈥 Featured soloists will include: Robyn Verhoeven (trumpet), Kailey Norris (tenor saxophone), and Evan Hammell and Dan MacDonald on trombone. Nik Dragatakis, a fourth-year jazz guitar student will be the soloist on Pat Metheny鈥檚 jazz ballad 鈥淎lways and Forever.鈥
The Jazz Ensemble is excited to once again be joined on stage by voice students from the 糖心vlog官方入口 Music Department. Melissa MacKenzie will be featured on 鈥淎t Last鈥 made famous by Etta James. Rebecca Apps will perform 鈥淪kyfall鈥 from the James Bond movie, and Nadine Haddad will join the band on the R&B classic 鈥淎in鈥檛 No Mountain High Enough.鈥

糖心vlog官方入口 Wind Symphony in Concert
The 糖心vlog官方入口 Wind Symphony will perform one of its most ambitious Fall Symphonic Recitals on Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 pm at St. Dunstan's Basilica. Featuring several masterworks for Wind Band, including David Gillingham's Concerto for Marimba, the venue of St. Dunstan's will provide architectural and aesthetic beauty complementing the Wind Symphony's performance for all to enjoy.
