A seminar with Dr. Claudiu Gradinaru, Associate Professor of Physics, University of Toronto Mississauga, Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences, will be held on Tuesday, July 9 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The presentation is titled "'Fuzz' Structures: on the Role of Electrostatics in Intrinsically-disordered Proteins."

Dr. Chris Hauton will be giving a seminar on Thursday, July 18, at 2:00 pm in AVC Lecture Theatre A. His seminar is entitled: "Is there any scope to exploit the crustacean immune system for disease control - Have we reached a dead end and, if not, where might we go next?" Dr. Hauton is from Ocean and Earth Science, University of Southampton. Everyone welcome.

The St. Dunstan鈥檚 University (SDU) class of 1963 will celebrate its 50th reunion at this year鈥檚 糖心vlog官方入口 Summer Reunion Weekend, July 24鈥�28. Kicks for Cam is a fundraising event at the 糖心vlog官方入口 turf and track on July 14 from 12:00 - 4:00 pm for Cameron O'Hanley. Cameron sustained serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, June 17th and was airlifted to Halifax where he will remain for an undetermined amount of time while he recovers. The event will include a tailgate BBQ, a silent auction, live music and soccer games. 糖心vlog官方入口 is proud to be a sponsor of this fundraising event.

Three 糖心vlog官方入口 musicians will perform in a recital on Sunday, July 28, 7:30 pm, at the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, 糖心vlog官方入口 campus. Echo Lau, piano; Branden Kelley, percussion; and Lucas McPhail, saxophone, will be attending the 2013 National Competition for The Federation of Canadian Music Festivals from August 8鈥�10, at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. Echo will be accompanied both here and in Waterloo, by Frances Gray. Branden and Lucas will be accompanied by Frances McBurnie. Admission will be by donation to assist Echo, Branden, and Lucas with expenses as they travel to Waterloo for this competition. Dr. M. Jake Pushie, Molecular and Environmental Science Research Group, University of Saskatchewan will present a research seminar on Friday, July 19th, 2013 at 10:30 am. Dr. Pushie鈥檚 presentation is entitled 鈥淐omputational Chemistry and Synchrotron Radiation Illuminate the Bioinorganic Chemistry of Human Health and Disease Pathogenesis". The seminar will be held in Room 104 in the KC Irving Chemistry Centre. All are welcome to attend.
