Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and eager to make a difference in your university community? Join our Student Ambassador Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovation at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú. As a Student Ambassador, you will represent the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship, support entrepreneurial initiatives and events, and help fellow students tap into their entrepreneurial potential.

What is a Student Ambassador?

Student Ambassadors are dynamic, driven individuals who serve as the bridge between the Entrepreneurship Centre and the student body. In this role, you will:

  • Promote Entrepreneurship: Advocate for entrepreneurship programs, events, and resources across campus. Play a central role in the Centre’s social media channels and newsletters.
  • Support Events: Assist in organizing and executing workshops, networking events, and competitions.
  • Engage with Peers: Provide information and guidance to fellow students interested in entrepreneurship.
  • Build Community: Foster a vibrant and supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú.

  • Expand Your Network: Connect with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and fellow students who share your passion. Ambassadors will have first priority towards attending Startupfest in Montreal on behalf of the Centre.  
  • Boost Your Resume: Stand out with a role that demonstrates initiative, commitment, and a drive for innovation.
  • Make an Impact: Contribute to a thriving entrepreneurial community and support others in their entrepreneurial journeys.

How to Apply

Ready to join the team? Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Review the requirements: Ensure you meet the following criteria:
    • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú.
    • Passionate about entrepreneurship and the mission of the Entrepreneurship Centre
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Must be available to meet biweekly on Fridays at 2:30–3:15 pm.
    • Ability to commit to 4 hours per week (on average) and attend scheduled meetings and events.
  2. Prepare your application: Submit the following materials (all documents must be in PDF format):
    • Cover letter: Explain why you want to be a Student Ambassador, what you hope to achieve, and how your background aligns with the role. Let us know what roles you would be interested in taking on as part of the team!
    • Resume: Highlight relevant experience, skills, and achievements.
    • Unofficial transcript: Provide an up-to-date copy of your unofficial transcript (not applicable to first-year students studying in their first degree)
    • References: Provide letters of reference for two individuals who can speak to your qualifications and character. Preferably, one reference will be in an academic setting and the other in a professional setting.  
  3. Submit your application: Please send your application to entrepreneurship@upei.ca. All files should be in PDF format.
  4. Interview process: Selected candidates will be invited for an interview to discuss their application and suitability for the role.
  5. Orientation and training: Successful applicants will participate in an orientation and training session to prepare for their responsibilities as a Student Ambassador.

  • Application deadline: Wednesday, July 23, 2025
  • Final group announced: Friday, August 15, 2025
  • Some team spots may be reserved for a second intake in September 2025.
