A team led by Dr. William Montelpare, Margaret and Wallace McCain Chair in Human Development and Health at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú, has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the federal government’s (IPF) Program for a project to develop and implement a vaccine support program for Prince Edward Island.

Thanks to a graduate scholarship from the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI), a ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú graduate student will be pursuing research on breast cancer. Olivier Philips, an MSc student with Dr. Patrick Murphy in ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú’s Department of Biology, is the first ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú recipient of a graduate scholarship of $29,750 through BHCRI’s Cancer Research Training Program (CRTP).

Irrigation Management Pro, a company co-owned by Stephanie Arnold, a PhD candidate at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú and a researcher with the School of Climate Change and Adaptation, has received a $25,000 grant from Innovation PEI.
