ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú congratulates Dr. Margaret Magner, sessional instructor at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú and CEO of the PEI Business Women’s Association, on being named one of the by Atlantic Business Magazine.

During the fall of 2020, Dr. Karem Simon, chair of the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Department of Music, initiated a series of interviews with our alumni, which was an opportunity for them to share their music and professional journeys. These were presented live to music students during the time slot reserved for Friday afternoon student recitals.

The entire ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú community is saddened to learn of the passing of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Professor Emeritus, Dr. F. Alan Reesor on March 9 in Charlottetown.

It’s the most exciting time of year in winter sports, when both ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú hockey teams prepare for the playoffs. 

This week’s ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Panther Subway Athletes for February 28 to March 6 are Alicia Bowering (women’s basketball) and Isaiah Ankra (men’s basketball).

March 8 is International Women’s Day, and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú is fortunate to have an abundance of inspiring women who lead by example as teachers and researchers. Among them are five researchers who are working on Mitacs-funded projects:

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú, is proud to congratulate a team of five first-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students who recently participated in the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) virtual Animal Welfare Assessment Contest and won awards. 

Every week, ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Panther Subway Athletes for February 21 to 27 are Sydney Lyndon (women’s hockey) and Kyle Maksimovich (men’s hockey).

Island author Katherine Dewar has won the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation’s 2022 Publication of the Year for her book We'll Meet Again: Prince Edward Island Women of the Second World War, published by Island Studies Press at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú.
