The School of Business invites the campus community to attend two public presentations for a tenure-track faculty position in Tourism and Hospitality: Dr. Richard Parker will be on campus Monday, February 3 and will deliver a public presentation at 1:00 pm in McD 328 entitled "Remembering to Breathe: Examining Undergraduate Reactions to Alberta Tourism's Latest Marketing Campaign" Dr. Kim Lemky will visit on Friday, February 7 and will present to the public at 1:00 pm in McD 328, "Facade and Streetscape Programmes on Cape Breton Island: A Panacea for Revitalization of the Tourism Industry?" All are welcome to attend!

Please join us for Nicky Hyndman's public presentation on Thursday, February 6, from 9:30-10:30 am. Her presentation is entitled: "Doing homework, doing best?: Homework as a site of gendered neoliberal governance." The presentation will be held in the Faculty Lounge, Main Building. All are welcome to attend.
The next 糖心vlog官方入口 on-site training session in animal use and care will be held on Wednesday, February 19 from 1:00-4:00 pm in AVC's McCain Foundation Learning Commons, Room 287N. This will be a 3 hour training session with handout, based on CCAC Recommended Syllabus (exam included). The Canadian Council of Animal Care (CCAC) requires that all personnel involved with the use of animals in research, teaching, testing, and service take this course. (A refresher course is required every 5 years.) Please notify Sherri Pineau by e-mail animalcare@upei.ca by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 12, if you or any of your staff will be attending this session.
On Tuesday, February 4, Alyssa Grunwald, Department of Biomedical Sciences will present a seminar called "Natural products and microbial diversity of Frobisher Bay" at 3:30 pm in AVC Lecture Theatre C. Everyone is welcome.

Please note that the criteria, and nominating and evaluation procedures were revised by Senate on June 14, 2013. These procedures can be found at The deadline to submit nominations has been extended to Friday, February 14, 2014. Nominations should be forwarded to Dr. Bill Whelan, Chair of the Professor Emeritus Evaluation Committee, Department of Physics, 糖心vlog官方入口, 550 University Ave., Charlottetown, PE C1A 4P3. The Professor Emeritus Evaluation Committee will consider all nominees and forward its recommendations to Senate. Senate is the final approval body and will notify nominees of its decision. Inquiries may be directed to Dr. Whelan at wwhelan@upei.ca.
