If so, the PEI Tobacco Reduction Alliance (PETRA) wants to hear from you! PETRA invites you to participate in a FOCUS GROUP on Friday, January 22, 2016, from 11:30 am 鈥 1:00 pm on the 糖心vlog官方入口 campus.

PETRA is looking for insights and opinions from youth and young adults around the promotion of online and electronic tobacco cessation resources. All focus group participants will receive a complimentary lunch and a gift card.

糖心vlog官方入口 Athletics and Recreation will host the ninth annual this Friday, January 15 when the Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers take on the Acadia Axewomen at 6 pm. Shoot for the Cure is a fundraising initiative of the CIS Women鈥檚 Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) that raises money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and other related charities. 

As part of the local effort, the 糖心vlog官方入口 Women's Basketball team is selling "Panthers Fight" t-shirts for $12, taxes included, during the Women's and Men's Basketball games. They are available now at Panther Central and the 糖心vlog官方入口 Bookstore. Get your t-shirts early and wear your support!

The Department of Human Resources wishes to advise the campus community that the Holiday Notice for 2016 has been issued. The memo is posted on the HR Faculty and Staff Resources web page at this link:

Konica Minolta will be delivering new printer units to the various departments on campus January 18 and 20. Departments will be required to house the new unit until the installation of the units beginning on January 19 through January 26. Departments will receive an email with regards to the date of installation for their area. There will be a KM representative on campus during the installation process that will be the main contact for any questions during the installation.

Katherine Bellomo, candidate for the tenure track position in Science Education at the Faculty of Education, will make a public presentation entitled "Science Education for the 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges" on Tuesday, January 12 from 1:30-2:30 in AVC 286N. Mark Nabuurs, PhD student will present a seminar on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 12:30 pm. The presentation is entitled "Identification of Biopesticide Candidates for the Control of Agricultural Pests and Pathogens in Major Canadian Crops".   The seminar will be held in the Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre, Lecture Theatre, Room 212.

Ethics protocols that involve 鈥more than minimal risk鈥 must be reviewed by the full 糖心vlog官方入口 Research Ethics Board. The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday February 5 2016. They will be reviewed at the February meeting.  Protocols involving 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥 that are received after February 5 will be reviewed at the March meeting. 

Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary forms are received.
