We have had two 糖心vlog官方入口 employee fitness training grants become available. The $75 grant can be applied to specialty fitness class, cycle class or a small group training. Note: if you are receiving a fitness training subsidy already this winter semester, you are not eligible.

We are looking for up to six members of the 糖心vlog官方入口 community (students, faculty, and staff) who would be willing to share their personal and/or supportive experience with mental health. You would be asked to speak for approximately 5 minutes in a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment, and then engage in small group discussions with the support of professional staff as co-facilitators. You will have the full support of a representative from the 糖心vlog官方入口 Counselling Services to prepare and work with you throughout the presentation.

Please be advised that the Government of Canada is once again sponsoring the Canada Summer Jobs program designed to help employers create summer job opportunities for students. Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years.
Public and private-sector employers are eligible for a wage subsidy of up to 50% of the provincial/territorial adult minimum hourly wage 鈥 in PEI the minimum hourly wage will be $12.25. For additional information and application information for this program please click .

This article looks at optimizing rodent housing from an ethological perspective, which will be of benefit to both the animals and the science.
The Animal Welfare Journal Club meets once a month (third Friday, generally) to discuss scientific articles related to animal welfare; for eg in areas of animal welfare science, animal ethics, animal behaviour, anesthesia and analgesia, ethical veterinary practice. Everyone is welcome to attend and to propose articles for future discussion. The club is co hosted by AVC鈥檚 Sir James Dunn Animal Welfare Centre and Animal Welfare Club. Please mark your calendars for January 16th from 12-1 (location TBA) for a talk entitled "Teaching iGen: Considerations for the Next Decade of University Instruction," presented by Dr. Dany MacDonald, Department of Applied Human Sciences.
Students currently attending our classes have been named the iGen generation. With them, these students carry many characteristics that affect how they should be taught. This brown-bag lunch session will start by providing an overview of iGen by identifying important considerations regarding this group of students and subsequently outline implications for the classroom. Following a brief presentation, a discussion regarding the impact of iGen in the classroom will take place.

Dr. Stephen Howard is retiring on December 31st after 34 years of service to the University.
