In our mission to provide high quality, safe care, the health centre is working on quality improvements, one of them being to ensure we are performing good hand hygiene.

The Tenant Support Centre, a project of Community Legal Information funded by the provincial government of PEI, is offering an online information workshop for students renting residential properties on PEI in collaboration with 糖心vlog官方入口's International Office and 糖心vlog官方入口 Housing Services. The workshop will cover your rights and responsibilities as a tenant as well as your landlord鈥檚 rights and responsibilities.

Students will also hear from Nouhad Mourad from the 糖心vlog官方入口 International Student Office, 糖心vlog官方入口's Off-Campus Housing Coordinator Chelsea Almeida, Laura O'Laney with Residence Life, and Homestay Coordinator Tyson Nicholson.

The Department of Health Management is interviewing 3 candidates for the tenure track faculty position in Large Animal Internal Medicine.  As part of the interview process, each candidate has been asked to present two brief seminars.  One suitable for DVM students and the other presentation of their research interests.  

Dr. Stacy Tinkler is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Large Animal Internal Medicine service at Purdue University.  Since graduation from the University of Minnesota in 2005, she has worked in large animal internal medicine and equine ambulatory practice, and completed a Master鈥檚 degree in Public Health in 2014.  She has also been involved in working equid volunteer veterinary projects since she was a vet student and has a passion for international veterinary medicine.  She has been participating in various 鈥渆quitarian鈥 projects in Central and South America for the past 17 years and worked as a relief vet at the American Fondouk, a working equid hospital, in Fez, Morocco.  Dr. Tinkler has a particular interest in supporting sustainable veterinary program development for working equids and their care-givers in the developing world along with managing complicated medicine cases in the clinic at Purdue 鈥 a dual life to be sure!  When she is not working, she loves to be outside, to travel and loves how animals and their care unite and bond people from all over the globe.

  • Originality: Is the student demonstrating a unique initiative, or are they doing something that has been commonly done by others in the past?
  • Legacy: How long will the student鈥檚 efforts impact the campus and/or the off-campus community? Will the impact be felt for a day or will others be benefiting from the student鈥檚 efforts years in the future?
  • Reach: How many people did the student鈥檚 efforts impact? Did they have an impact on the lives of few, or did they impact the lives of many?
  • Leadership: Was the student the individual responsible for establishing an impactful initiative, or was their support passive in nature?

The keynote presentation for this year鈥檚 conference is on the theme of a Pedagogy of Care, a care-oriented approach to the design and philosophical set up of the course, occurring within the context of the learning experience and in relationships formed through teaching and learning. 

The Teaching Community Conference is calling for proposals regarding your approach to a pedagogy of care, innovative designs or approaches to teaching, experiential teaching, or communities of practice.

Ethics protocols that involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥 must be reviewed by the full 糖心vlog官方入口 Research Ethics Board (REB).  The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday March 26, 2021.

Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary forms are received.

All research compliance applications, including Research Ethics Board application forms, must be submitted through the Researcher Portal. This online system is paired with electronic approvals to replace the hard-copy signatures process.

Earlier versions of the application forms will not be accepted.
