Hey Panthers!

Looking to connect with your peers, get to know your campus, and indulge in some fun activities at the beginning of your academic year? 

Welcome Week is THE opportunity for you!

Welcome  Week  (August 29 to September 7, 2025) is a  week  full of activities at the beginning of each Fall semester to  welcome  new, incoming, and returning Panthers to the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú (ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú). This week is especially designed to allow new Panthers to build connections, learn about ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú services, spaces and resources, meet your faculty and staff members, while also getting to know Charlottetown, and PEI!

Welcome  Week  aims at helping you get acquainted with your campus while getting to meet the people who strive hard and care about making your journey at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú exciting, wonderful, and memorable.

Your Welcome Week team will be looking for current and returning students as Point People, Leaders, and Volunteers for Welcome Week 2025. Descriptions of all roles will be included on the registration form.

Kaitlyn Smith and Ruboneka Shema Alvin, Welcome Week Coordinators


Kaitlyn Smith

Hi everyone! My name is Kaitlyn Smith, and I am one of the 2025 Welcome Week Coordinators. I have always enjoyed contributing and improving the community that surrounds me, and I am so excited to be able to help plan the Welcome Week!

A little bit about me- I was born and raised in Summerside, PEI. I am entering my fourth and final year of the Sustainable Design Engineering program in the Fall of 2025 where I serve as the Engineering Society President and a co-chair of a national conference called the Summit on Development of Engineering Societies (SDES). In my free time I enjoy coaching figure skating, travelling, and visiting with family and friends.

Ruboneka Shema Alvin

Hey there, hi there, ho there (Bonjour)! My name is Shema, and I’m one of the 2025 Welcome Week coordinators. I’m passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people feel seen, involved, and connected. I’m really excited to be part of the team bringing this year’s Welcome Week to life and look forward to meeting you all! 

A little about me - I’m an international student from Rwanda entering my fourth year in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting. I also serve as the Vice-President of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú’s newly launched squash club!

I’m a cinephile at heart, and I enjoy taking walks with my camera, reading a good novel under the sun, and working up a sweat on the squash courts!
