The following message outlining student supports, activities, and events available during the strike was also emailed to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú students on behalf of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Student Affairs on April 6, 2023. Please note that some programming is not taking place over the holiday weekend.

The University and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Faculty Association have agreed to return to the bargaining table with the assistance of a government-appointed mediator. 

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Student Affairs sent a message on April 2 to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú students via their @upei.ca emails, outlining the supports, activities, and events being offered by various offices from April 3–6.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú’s Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2022–23 season at the annual ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Panther Celebration—Athletic Awards Gala on Thursday, March 30, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community. 

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú community is saddened to learn of the recent death of Dr. Kai Liu, assistant professor in the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences.

For the third consecutive year, the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Distance Running Program is managing the popular PEI Bunny Hop, which will take place on Saturday, April 8, starting at 8:30 am at Colonel Gray High School.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Women’s Rugby Panthers are excited to welcome Alanna Mabey to their team for the 2023–24 season. Head coach James Voye believes the local 17-year-old standout from Stratford, PEI, possesses high-end talent and fits the mould of a core player who can help the women’s rugby program continue to excel.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Student Affairs sent a message on March 26 to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú students via their @upei.ca emails, outlining the supports, activities, and events being offered by various offices from March 27–31.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú (ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú) Men’s Hockey Panthers hosted seven of the best amateur hockey teams in the country during the U SPORTS 2023 Cavendish Farms University Cup Men’s Hockey Championship from March 15–19, 2023, at the Eastlink Centre, Charlottetown. The event was deemed a huge success by organizers.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Board of Governors and members of CUPE 1870 have approved the three-year tentative agreement that was reached with the assistance of a third-party conciliator on March 14, 2023. CUPE 1870 represents approximately 345 support and administrative employees at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú.
