Congratulations to ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú alumna Olivia Robinson whose first novel, The Blue Moth Motel, has been accepted for publication by Breakwater Books. Set mostly on PEI, Robinson’s novel is scheduled to be published in the fall of 2021.

| Atlantic Veterinary College

Congratulations to Kelly Yoo, Class of 2021, on winning the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association’s 2020 Student Leadership Award for the Atlantic Veterinary College. Each year, the CVMA recognizes a third-year student at each of the five veterinary colleges in Canada with a student leadership award. The winners are selected by their classmates based on their leadership and achievement in student affairs.

The entire ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú community was saddened to learn of the passing of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Founder and retired faculty member Daryl Guignion on February 8, 2021. The flags in front of the Kelley Memorial Building have been lowered to half-mast in his memory.

| Atlantic Veterinary College

Students in AVC’s Class of 2023 are taking a big leap forward in their veterinary education this semester when they begin their hands-on technical training. An important part of their training is developing and practicing suturing skills using DASIE surgical models donated by Boehringer Ingelheim.

Desiree Rehel, a student in the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹Ù·½Èë¿Ú Department of Physics, won an award for an oral presentation she gave at the recent Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC).
