The 糖心vlog官方入口 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 30鈥揙ctober 5 are Emma MacLean (women鈥檚 rugby) and Ben McFarlane (men鈥檚 hockey).

MacLean is a fifth-year business student from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. She was unstoppable in the October 4 matchup against the Saint Mary鈥檚 University Huskies, scoring three tries in a dominant 72-0 win. 

鈥淓mma is the backbone of our team,鈥� said 糖心vlog官方入口 Women鈥檚 Rugby head coach Curtis Lauzon. 鈥淪he sets the standard every day through her compassion, her drive, and the energy she brings to everything she does. She makes everyone around her better.鈥�

McFarlane is a third-year arts student from Ayr, Ontario. He came up big on October 4, scoring with just 37 seconds left in a tightly contested game against the Dalhousie University Tigers. The Tigers would tie the game at one apiece with seconds remaining, sending it into overtime. McFarlane came through once more, netting the only goal in the shootout to secure the Panthers鈥� victory.

鈥淲hen we needed it most, Benny stepped up in two big moments in our game against Dalhousie,鈥� said 糖心vlog官方入口 Men鈥檚 Hockey head coach Forbes MacPherson. 鈥淗e had the original go-ahead goal late in the game. Then after Dalhousie tied the game up, he came through in the shootout for the win.鈥�
