Have you ever worried about a friend and wondered how you could be of help to them? Peers, friends, and social networks are an essential part of mental wellbeing. Mental Health Week 2016 is offering a fun and interactive session to expand your skills inventory for supporting your friends.鈥�
Join us for a winter walk on the Confederation Trail following our 糖心vlog官方入口 Mental Health Kick-off event with Lewis Page. Walk will leave from McMillan Hall, and cookies and hot chocolate to follow at the upper level of the 糖心vlog官方入口 Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

Diane Burke, along with her daughter Jenna Burke (who is an Aboriginal Student Mentor with Mawi'omi and in her fourth year at 糖心vlog官方入口) will give a talk on the Residential School System and its impact on families & relationships. Diane's mom, Jenna's grandmother, attended the Shubenacadie鈥�
Our minds and bodies need rest and recovery breaks to allow us to relax and reduce the effects of stress. This seminar will show participants how to make time to calm down and reduce stress, using both proactive and reactive relaxation technique. Space is limited so please sign up before March 9.鈥�
This informative workshop will include tips and ideas for strengthening and targeting resumes and cover letters, how to talk to employers, as well as how to dress and some dos and don'ts for career fair attendees. Location: HSB 104 from 12:00 p.m.to 1:00 p.m.

Career Services is partnering with The Writing Centre to do a resume blitz in The Pit. Students will bring us hard copies of their resumes and we will critique and offer suggestions for improvement as well as resources (hard copy and on-line) to assist them in creating a stronger resume.鈥�
This is a fun event for students that will include a photo booth with goofy props, swag, prizes and a chance to answer the question: Where do you see yourself on the next Leap Day - Feburary 29, 2020?
